"We are the Nielsons. I am from Layton, and Stacy is from Morgan. We were set up on a blind date by my mom. I was teaching seminary in Salt Lake and Stacy was a speech pathologist at an elementary school in Syracuse. We are the parents of 5 children, 4 living. Andalyn is our oldest and just graduated from Utah State with a degree in English. She graduated from Bear River in 2022. She works as an educator for the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum of Utah and lives in Logan. Myles is our second and he returned from the Syracuse New York mission in July of 2025. He graduated from Bear River in 2023. He is a student at Southern Virginia University and plays college lacrosse for the Knights. His degree is in pre med bio something or other, and he wants to be a physical therapist. Tucker is our third and tallest, and he just graduated from Bear River in 2026. He loved Bear River robotics and lacrosse in high school, and now has a mission call to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He begins his service in mid October 2026. He currently works at Maverick across from the fairgrounds so he knows if you have a soda addiction. Bridgette is our 4th and she was born and passed away in Charlottesville, Virginia back in 2011. She had a major birth defect in her heart called transposition of the great arteries and lived only 11 days. She is buried in Morgan, Utah. Our 5th and final child is Liesel. She is in 8th grade at Bear River middle and is a dancer. She dances with Dance It Out Studios and is quite good at doing gel nails. I currently teach at Bear River High seminary, and Stacy is a speech pathologist at Mckinley Elementary."
My husband and I live in Tremonton and both grew up here. We were High School Sweethearts and got married after he returned from his mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We have three children who all graduated from Bear River HS and are now pursuing school and jobs in different locations in Utah. My husband and I like to travel, spend time with family, game nights, hiking, and serving others. I received a certificate in Graphic Design from Bridgerland and enjoy using these skills in different areas of my life. I serve as an Ordinance Worker in the temple, and I love this opportunity to grow closer to our Savior & help others feel of His love as well. The temple is one of my favorite places to be. I am thankful to work in the Seminary program and know that it helps students strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ as they choose to walk with Him.
Hi! I’m Sister Bird! I teach the Adaptive Needs classes at Garland Seminary and Institute. My husband Preston and I both grew up in Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High. We have lived in Orem, UT, North Carolina (Go Duke!) and the Spokane, Washington area before moving back to Tremonton a few years ago. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Brigham Young University and taught Kindergarten before becoming a stay at home mom for 15 years. Preston served a mission in Munich, Germany. He graduated from Duke University and provides anesthesia at the Brigham Hospital. We have 4 kids: Madalyn, Cassidy, Graham & Piper. Madalyn is 21 and attending BYU. She recently returned home from serving in the California, Los Angeles Mission. Cassidy is 18 and attending school at Utah Tech in St. George. She was our dancer and cheerleader! Graham is a Junior at Bear River. He loves playing pickleball and tennis, the piano, and is on Student Council. Piper is in 5th grade and loves all things cowgirl and sports! We have a 12 year old beagle named Josie and three chickens! My favorite scripture is 2 Ne. 33:6 - “I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus...”! I love my students so much and it is a privilege for me that I get to spend each day talking about Jesus with them!
I am married to the beautiful Briana Jeppesen, which proves that the day of miracles has not ceased! We are both from Farr West, Utah. We are the proud parents of 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls. We enjoy gardening, traveling and hiking together as a family. I have been teaching seminary since 2008.
My wife, Cheryl, and I are parents of 5 children: Tucker, Jace, Elle, Brooklyn and Ty. Tucker is serving a mission in Finland. Jace is a Junior, Ellie is a Freshman, Brooklyn is in 6th grade and Ty is going in to 3rd grade. Cheryl and I both graduated from Bear River High School, but surprisingly we never went on one date in high school. We love being together as a family, and love to learn and try everthing good that we can. We rejoice in and are so grateful for our family and love to talk about and worship the Savior together.
Hello there. I’m Brother Nix and am so excited to teach, learn, and ultimately become more converted to Jesus Christ and His gospel with YOU all at Bear River this school year. 😊 This is my 8th year teaching and also my 8th year of being married to my Amazin' wife, Alyssa. She is such a great example of daily striving to and becoming more like Jesus. 😊 We have 3 very active boys: Bowen (6), Leo (4), and Lewis (2). They are so much fun. We love the outdoors: running, hiking, walks etc. We also love to play games like Old Maid and read books. Lastly, we love Spider-Man and Lego. We are your "Friendly Neighborhood" Nix Family.
